One Thousand Days of Wolseley is photographer Wayne Ferrand’s way of giving back and sharing a uniquely personal perspective of this beautiful part of Winnipeg.

Captured over 1000 days and through 12 seasons, this collection of tiny vignettes of new and fascinating moments and fixtures tells Ferrand’s story of this historic and vibrant neighbourhood.

“I would have doubted that anyone could grasp the elusive essence of this community in visual terms. That is until I saw Wayne Ferrand’s photographs.” – from the foreword by Diana Thorneycroft.

Wayne Ferrand has always had the innate desire to create. He has been exhibited, both solo and as part of a group show, at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Gallery Lacosse, Warehouse Art Works, and Medea Gallery. Ferrand’s fine art images have been used in several movies made in Manitoba. Owner of Little People’s Portrait Studio (1995), he has also served as a Photography Teacher. Ferrand’s quote: “I live in Wolseley, but sleeps in River Heights” as he spends so much time in the Wolseley Neighbourhood. His first book, Conversations in Nature was published January, 2012.
