Famous for their freshly milled, organic and whole grain breads, cinnamon buns, and Folk Fest cookies, Tall Grass comes by the title of Winnipeg’s hippie bakery in the heart of the granola belt honestly. Sprouted from a seed cultivated by a community, this humble Winnipeg bakery has been a model and inspiration to local businesses, and with its strong ties to the farming community, has been a major facilitator of  the farm-to-table movement in Manitoba.

Tall Grass is also the reason Wolseley smells so good! You can stop by for a cinnamon bun, crack open a bottle of fresh country air, and enjoy with a side of social conscience. A place where country and city meet, diversity is celebrated, and everyone is welcome, Tall Grass Prairie Bread Co. is truly ingrained in the community and culture that is Wolseley.

The Anthologie Project showcases a curated collection of local design, art, food, fashion, and handmade wares. Thanks to the support of our readers, our publications have already generated more than $21,000 in donations to local charities and community. Our goal with this volume is to donate $5,000 to The Wolseley Residents’ Association’s Community Garden Project, as well as to inspire creativity, wellness, caring, generosity, and community collaboration.
