Stunning Kerr & Phillips (Glasgow, 1881-1939) silver plate spirit kettle. (So named because alcohol spirts were often used in the chafing dish.) Fits into a tilting stand, so pouring the warm tea would be a breeze.
Approximately 13” in overall height when put together. Teapot alone is about 9” high, and 8” across.
My dive into learning about Kerr & Phillips (and silver plate stamping of the era) leads me to believe that this is a late 19th century piece, but I’m not certain.
